North London giants Arsenal have reportedly set a price for in-form midfielder Joe Willockwho’s having a good time on the pitch at Newcastle United. The 21-year-old English player is on loan at Newcastle United from the Gunners and he has been in fantastic scoring form in front of goal.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romanocommented about Willock on Arsenal Lounge recently where he said that Arsenal won’t consider selling Willock until they received the bid of around €35m(£30m) for him.
Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce has already talked about his desire to keep in-form Willock at the club.
Arsenal want around the same transfer fee they received for the transfer of Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona many years ago. The Spaniard left the Gunners to return to boyhood club Barcelona after eight years in North London. Fabregas moved to Barcelona in the summer of 2011 and was subsequently replaced by Dutchman Robin Van Persie as the club captain. Van Persie was the vice-captain while Fabregas was at the club.
The Gunners fans won’t have much complaints if the club can get as much as £30m for him with the club in needed of all the money they can get to fund a rebuild this summer. The potential sale of Newcastle United loaneeWillock will allow the club to pursue their midfield targets.
Arsenal have been linked with a lot of midfielders as they bid to bolster that part of the season with the likes of Dani Ceballos and Granit Xhaka facing uncertain futures at the club.
Spanish midfielder Ceballos is expected to return to Real Madrid this summer after his loan spell, while recent reports claimed that Swiss international Xhaka wants to leave the club.
